Teaching Disabled Kids The inclusive classroom has students with different abilities. Having a SEN student in the classroom can be challenging, but not impossible to deal with. I like the project description and find it to be right on point. Do you agree?
Isn't that what we ought to provide for EVERY students!?

It took me a while to go through the projects list. I was deep into looking at many of them and thinking 'Why didn't I think of this?' or 'Oh, I'd love to be a part of this!' So many great projects and I have to choose! Not fair!!! But, as it is, I'll just pick up 2. It wasn't an easy decision and I know I'll change my mind in 5 minutes and pick 2 other ones, but I'll add the new ones later. I've made up my mind (for now)!
Why I like it? This project integrates all the objectives that I'd set for my project and includes different tools to get the wanted results.
It's wonderful that I can still be WOW-ed. It makes me feel excited and free. Free to explore, imagine and research. I love those feelings! Let's start with apps and online sites I've used in my teaching. I've used some of them before but some of them I learned about and used in my teaching since I started actively participating in eTwinning:
As fun as all these activities were, there are few more I'm planning for the next school year. Not that I won't use the mentioned apps and sites again. But variety is the spice for learning interest, right?
My first principle in teaching is that if it's boring to me, it's probably worse for my students. So I try to make it an interesting experience. I'm a clown when I need to be, the strict mother-type when I feel that's what my students need, the singer and dancer, but most of all, I am respective and understanding of their needs. The second principle in my teaching is trying to be innovative and creative. And this principle is tightly connected with the first one. I'm teaching for over 20 years and I'm not afraid of technology. In fact, I embrace it and promote it. One of the proofs are all my Weebly sites. (You'll see the links bellow) The third but not least principle I have is to be fair. Doesn't matter if I like it or not, I just have to be fair. That is, most of the times, based on selfreflection. As for my students, they know I won't hold a grudge against them. I expect them to be mischievous and lively. After all, they are children (12-15 years old) and I'm aware that I'm the grown-up in my classroom and outside of it. Now for my teaching techniques. I use a lot of ICT in my teaching. Lots of times my classroom is a game ground. And I don't mean games in traditional sense, I mean a competitive play in reaching a goal I set, be it a Kahoot quiz, Socrative or Quizlet flip cards paced learning, taking pictures for StopMotion Animation or some other type of playing with what we have. Don't get me wrong, I don't have computer for every student in my classroom, but we all have mobile phones, most are smartphones, and those that don't have one, usually bring their own tablets or borrow a tablet from a classmate. It's always previously arranged.
So you see, I'm an old teacher with young mind. And I love it! Oh, before I forget, the links to my other pages. I must warn you though, some are in Macedonian, but they show how my students, their parents and, of course, anyone that wants to can get the informations I want to share with the world.
This is what the key points are going to be. Just a reminder of what goes where and then a bit of click, click, click,...
