These are the fastest reviews I've received in this course. I'll address them one by one, but first... I want to thank Cecilia Cantizano Marscal and Maria Louvari for their reviews. Review No. 1Made By M. Cecilia Cantizano Mariscal date 04-07-2016 16:06 Dear Valentina, Your Learning Design mostly includes features of effective PBL. Your driving question is excellent, your activities and assessment are all very clear and it includes clear learning outcomes. Although there isnt´s an specific assessment activity, assessment of most outcomes is embedded in the activities which are mostly driven by students. I am sure you´ll carry out this PBL Design quite successfully. Good luck! Review No. 2Made By Maria / ΜΑΡΙΑ Louvari / ΛΟΥΒΑΡΗ date 03-07-2016 18:25 Hello, Valentina. I must say that by reading your learning diary I was amazed to see how passionate you are with teaching. I read your learning design and saw that it's well-constructed, full of activities and well-balanced. I liked the idea of having the students making their own rubrics for each groups' assession. Judging by the activities you'll do in class I assume you have pcs in class- one for each group? One thing you don't mention, though, is how the groups are formed. Generally, I liked it very much. It seems very interesting and I'm sure the students will learn a lot. Well done. Louvari Maria, Greece No, Maria, there are no pc's in classroom, but in my TLA's notes I inform the students it would be BYOD unit, so everyone brings their own tablets, pc's or smartphones. :)

I like the P2P activity. Not just receiving a review, but also giving one to my best abilities. It's collaborating at its best, I believe. But what I don't like is not being able to extract useful points. During the course, I've received from well structured and helpful reviews to single-worded ones saying 'Nice'. It's the second ones that really annoy me.
I mean, if one entered the course to learn something, don't they want to be constructive about it? Wouldn't they at least acknowledge that others want constructive review as well? Wouldn't they accept that others entered the course with the same goal - to learn something? Maybe it's just me. I'm in it to learn and improve. |
