The Introducing Project-Based Learning in your Classroom course introduces you to the concept of project-based learning (PBL) and helps you to implement this pedagogical approach in your classroom by providing concrete examples, ideas and tools that can inspire and support you and your students to embark on a PBL learning journey.
We will be exploring three key challenges related to the implementation of PBL: how to get students to collaborate effectively, how to facilitate student-driven activities, and finally how to assess PBL in your classroom.

My thoughts about the course
beforeFor over 20 years I'm teaching L1 and I've used lots of different approaches to make the learning process more enjoyable for my students. We all know that if it's fun, it's considered a pleasure, not a burden to learn. PBL is one of such pleasures. The hardest part is to dose it right for students. Otherwise, the fun turns into a pressure. (and that's awful!)
I hope this course strengthens my weak spots in PBL and enables me to make learning even more fun for my students. |
duringAs this course progresses, I start re-thinking my own way of teaching. I know that the assessing part would come at the end, but I believe that the P2P activities are preparing us for it.
P2P is what I'm going to embed in my own project, as well as have my students contribute to creation of the rubrics. I know they'll have some great ideas and suggestions. |
afterAfter it's all said and done, I feel restless! I can't wait for the next school year to start so that I can start the project. Am I being silly?
I've embedded my LDesign to an extra sub-page and I'm glad! This way it'll always be there to go back to. Thank you PBL course for teaching me so many new things and for making me think about what I can improve about my teaching. |
